This is becoming an epidemic, were fast food joint everywhere, and were spending  $135 billion a year eating that junk what is happening to us.  We are becoming a nation of obese and sick individuals who are living only for today and not worrying about the outcome of tomorrow.  What a sad truth to the matter is, the number of American adults with diabetes could double or triple by the year 2020, but is supposed to be that way, by the year 2050.  By the way we are going in 2020 is where diabetes will overtake one in three adults.  It’s an all-time epidemic.  These are alarming numbers that show how crucial it is and how prevalent type II diabetes really is and with medical costs skyrocketing, something needs to be done about the prevention because without it, it’s like have an American Express card with an open balance an the American public will abuse it to the Max and pay for it with bad health.  The only way to overcome this is through education and prevention in understanding the right food choices.  It’s a staggering fact one in 10 Americans have diabetes but the truth is, the average American walking around is a diabetic and does not realized he or she is a diabetic something has to be done.  According to the CDC the total cost of diabetes in the United States are an estimate of 174 billion annually, including the hundred 16 billion in direct medical costs, that’s a lot of hamburgers and french fries and junk food, is it really worth your eating that type of food to have major medical complications.  When you look at diabetes, It remains leading cause of new cases of blindness under the age of 75.  Also preventable leg and foot amputations among adults in the United States.  If only we would look after our total well-being.  Diabetes is the seventh leading cause of death in the United States, diabetes it’s leading cause of kidney failure and increases the risk for colorectal cancer.  It effect are felt because one out of every 10 healthcare dollars is spent on diabetes. Realistic Diabetes New Year's Resolutions Begin with Belief in Self,

It’s hard to believe another 365 days has almost come and gone. Whether you are making plans to lose weight, change your eating habits to be healthier, be a better person, start exercising more, stop smoking, or learn to live and enjoy life, you must understand that making resolutions are the hardest part. The key to a successful resolution begins with a lifestyle change and it must start with you believing you can.
We live in a time where we allow others to influence our decisions. It’s time for you to decide what your own expectations for your life are. You know how your friends and family seem to always want to give their input. The truth of the matter is that you have to decide how you want to proceed with your new lifestyle change. You must start out believing and seeing your outcome before embarking on your plan to lose those unwanted pounds, stop smoking or stop your food addiction.
When you’re planning ways to lose weight, which is usually the main resolution for change, a problem that seems to arise is that you didn’t plan for how to keep those unwanted pounds away. One of the key components of losing weight is to understand your food selection. You must know that it has to be nutritious and fresh in a healthy way. A balanced eating program or plan is the only way you’re going to be able to maintain a healthy body weight based on the body mass index and you will be able to maintain it because of your lifestyle change.

There are three components to having a successful lifestyle change. The first component is about believing in yourself. Know that you’re going to have some ups and downs with your plan. If you fall, just get back on your journey to greatness. There are going to be forks in the road that consist of the negative people around you. If possible, eliminate them.
The second one is taking your food selection seriously. Understand that fast food is not good for your consumption. Food selection is the most important part of the plan. The key is the fresher and more unprocessed your food selection is the healthier your food consumption will be. That’s why I stress that fried foods, sodas, sugary fruit drinks, and processed food that won’t spoil are not to be part of your dietary consumption.
The third one is the importance of exercising, meditation, relaxation and understanding your own emotions. Your overall mindset, believing and seeing your outcome before it is reality – this is the key to your success.
As you embark on your lifestyle changes or your New Year’s resolutions for 2011, think about what changes you want to make and how to make them a reality as well as how to make them simple, enjoyable and less stressful upon your life. The rule is understand who you are and who you want to be while staying focused and maintaining the changes you have planned for 2011. Remember that changes do come with unforeseen obstacles, but you must plan and remain focused in order to understand your new outcome. Diabetes Reversed and Cured.

What a true statement for me, a lot of you think or have been position to believe that your diabetes or someone one you know who suffers from diabetes can’t be reversed, well not true. The first step is to believe it’s possible to overcome your disease.
